My Family - Daniel, Rhoda, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Rudiluck |
Future Vision: God called us to reach an unreached people, the Hadza people group in Northern Tanzania. They are much like the San Bushmen of Southern Africa. These people live an extremely primitive lifestyle, the men hunting wild animals and eating honey, while the women forage for roots and fruit. Right now I am studying the Bible so that I may be better prepared reach these people. I have a specific vision to teach them farming skills and reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Present: Now I'm doing SBS, the School of Biblical Studies through Youth with a Mission. This was my dream for a long time to know how to study scripture and to interpret it. This is the best step to prepare me for the ministry. After SBS, my plan is to do the Principles of Biblical Preaching through YWAM which will take three months.
Background: I started my ministry July 1998 as an evangelist. I married Elizabeth in 2003, and we served God through our church as evangelists until February, 2010. Then, I joined YWAM as a student. Me and my wife have been attempting to go to Bible School, but we have not succeeded.
Challenge: Now I am studying, but we are still believing for God's provision. We have three children. Our two daughters are in grade school and we need to provide for their school fees. They just started at the school February of this year, and they are learning so much, adapting, and making friends. Our son is still 1 year old, and Elizabeth is taking care of him. Right now, I need to pay my school fees so that I can continue preparing to reach this lost people group.
* Therefore, we made this decision to share with you friends that you may bear our mission through prayer trusting God will meet with our needs. Pray a prayer of victory, that we will touch/fulfill God's purpose which is to reach the Hadza people.

Daniel and I have been doing SBS together since February, 2011. His vision for the Hadza people is very specific and directly in line with Jesus' commission to evangelize the world, every unreached people group. He is a man who truly loves God's word and has a heart and God given passion for these people. Right now he is preparing through this school, and getting ready to do further research before going out into the mission field. As you may read on the wikipedia link in his post, missionary groups have been trying to reach the Hadza people with very little success.
ReplyDeleteDaniel is a man who has a gift of language. He speaks Sukuma, Swahili, and English fluently (and he's only studied English for about a year). I'm confident in his ability to minister to this people. With his experience as an evangelist, his language learning ability, and his passion for God's word, I believe God has truly prepared him for the task ahead.
In our school, Daniel is one of the students who is truly serious about finding the heart of God through his word, and taking it for what it says. He has a deep understanding of scripture, yet he is not proud of his knowledge. Rather, he is always asking questions to help others discover God's truths on their own.
I've seen his character, his love for his family, and I've heard about the vision God has placed in his heart to call out God's sheep from among the Hadza. He has a strategy to reach them unique from previous attempts.
Right now, he is still trying to complete his 1st term school fees. Rather than paying for his own school, he has paid for his children to be able to stay in school. The YWAM base leadership is no longer allowing him to come to class until he pays. Please pray for him and his ministry, and even consider supporting him. Since coming here, I can say it is a lot more efficient use of God's money to send missionaries from within Africa to reach Africans. The cost of my (one way) plane ticket from LAX to Nairobi, Kenya would have covered Daniel's entire 9 months SBS school. The donate buttons above will allow you to send money via Paypal to our account back home. From there, we can use an ATM to pull money out in Tanzanian Shillings, saving on wire transfer fees. We will make sure he gets the money. Also, if God calls you to a specific area of need, you can let me know or specify in the comments section on Paypal or Google and I'll make sure it goes to that directly. For example, school fees for Daniel, for his kids, basic needs (soap/toothpaste/etc). He is also praying for a laptop for communication, research and his studies.
